The first leg of the 2021/22 DPC Regional Finals has concluded with Gaimin Gladiators, Boom Esports and Beastcoast being crowned winners in their respective regions. The second leg of the 2021/22 DPC Regional Finals will be held between February 18th to 20th between China, Eastern Europe and North America. There are few heroes catching everyone’s eyes and are decently contested among their peers. It is going to be interesting to see whether the remaining regions make use of these heroes with the highest win rate. They are: Storm Spirit 100% win rate. Period. Are we misreading it somehow? Not really, no. The electric spirit brother has a mere 33% pick rate but has a cent percent win rate. While the pick rate does denote Storm being a situational pick, it cannot be ignored that he is one of the most high scaling heroes into the late game. A perfect mid lane hero to utilise against a team lacking in stuns and disables or consisting of squishy backliners. Storm deals a ton of magical damage with his abilities and along with proper itemisation can be the deadliest damage dealer and slippery hero aka a complete nuisance. Templar Assassin Templar Assassin is another high scaling hero that can dish out tons of damage as the game progresses. As the name suggests, she’s an assassin and has a 47% pick rate along with a defyingly 86% win rate. Most prominently utilised in the mid lane in earlier times, Templar is now being utilised as position 1 in the safe lane as well. She is proficient in dealing burst damage and can do so in a particular radius owing to her ability: Psionic Blades. Most players are turning to the standard item build: Power Treads, Desolator and Dragon Lance that gives her long range of attack, high damage and attack speed. Combining the said with her skills such as Refraction, Meld Strike and Psionic Traps is a sign of deep trouble for her target. Io The lightning ball hero has a similar pick and win rate with that of Templar Assassin; 47% and 86%, respectively. It is oddly satisfying to see Wisp in the meta and on position 4 – just like the old times. A proper utility hero that can get the best out of his allies, Wisp provides the much needed edge. He provides enhanced mana and health regeneration, attack speed, and can also initiate aggressive or defensive manoeuvres due to his ultimate: relocate. A perfect partner for even the most imperfect ally. It is incredibly difficult to master this hero and for good reason. Proper positioning, map awareness and quick reflexes are of utmost importance to decipher this little ball of lightning.
