Tundra Esports qualifies for The International 2023 after finishing first place at
DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division I which gave them the necessary 500 DPC points that put them exactly at the 1160 point mark.
The Western European squad is the 5th team to qualify for TI12, the biggest tournament in Dota 2, following the steps of Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators, Evil Geniuses and Shopify Rebellion.
Tundra Esports qualifies for The International 2023. Can they defend their throne?
Their first place finish at the latest DPC Tour was crucial in their qualification and is quite an impressive feat. They didn't drop a single series, 2-0'd the likes of Gaimin Gladiators and went 14-4 in games with 7 series wins.
With this qualification, the reigning TI champions are back in the biggest tournament in the Dota 2 circuit. The full 5 men roster who went undefeated in their insane run at The International 2022 is back to defend its crown.
Their tournament placements this year haven't been impressive on paper, but they've been eerily similar to the ones they had prior to winning TI11.

As you can see in the image, the only tournament Tundra Esports had won prior to TI was the third tour of DPC WEU. They had gotten a third place finish at ESL One Stockholm Major, now they've had a 4th place finish at DreamLeague Season 19.
Is history just doomed to repeat itself?
We'll have to wait and see. This first place finish also qualified them to Bali Major 2023, which begins at the end of this month, so Tundra Esports will have a few more chances to prove their worth against top tier competition.
If things remain as they are, they'll head into TI12 as massive underdogs, but that didn't stop them from winning the last one, did it?
Tundra Esports is the last team to qualify for The International 2023, who's next?
