Gamers8 2023 SF6 tournament is kicking off today. It follows closely the overwhelming success of EVO 2023 and brings global talent together once again in another premier competition for Street Fighter 6.
Gamers8 2023 SF6 Schedule and Format
Gamers8 2023 SF6 begins today in just a few hours. The tournament will take place in 3 days, ending in August 13th.
The first two days of will be exclusively Group Stage matches. There are 8 Groups with 4 players each.

Matches will be BO3 in a Double round-robin format. To include all the matches in just two days, there will be two streams live simultaneously.
Once this stage is complete, the first two players from each Group will be advancing to Playoffs.
Gamers8 SF6 Playoffs will be played entirely on the 13th of August. It is a double-elimination bracket with BO5 matches from start to finish.
Invited Players
Gamers8 SF6 is an invitational, so there are no pools available. All players were invited and, thankfully, there is a great mix of regions.

Angry Bird, the reigning EVO 2023 champion is the number one star to watch, but all players present here have made some waves in Street Fighter 6.
Big Bird crushed all his opposition at Red Bull Kumite, Punk and MenaRD have been dominating the American tournaments and, of course, Japan is coming in full force with the likes of Kakeru and Daigo Umehara.
Gamers8 SF6 Prizepool
The Prizepool is the number of draw that this Gamers8 tournament has. The SF6 competition has 1 million USD available for the taking, with the winner taking a whopping 400 thousand USD home.

For reference, SF6 had the biggest prizepool of EVO 2023 with 70600 USD. Red Bull Kumite had a similarly impressive 50000 USD pool. The second place at Gamers8 alone will get more money than the prizepools of these two tournaments combined.
The only tournament that will surpass this massive value is Capcom Cup X, who is upping the ante with a whopping 1 million USD prize for the winner.
