My pick this week would be the series between Team Liquid and OG. With Liquid needing a win against one of the best teams in EU, to keep them safe from relegation and their hopes of attending the major alive - this was a series that lived up to expectations. OG making the offlane Alchemist work in G1 got us along our way, until the one two punch of a 13 minutes game by Liquid and a godlike Lycan performance from Qojqva secured the win for Liquid. Also featuring OG forgetting to pick up the aegis - so a little bit of fun help for Liquid there.
If you're looking for a close series with a lot on the line then Na'Vi vs Spirit was a fantastic series. Spirit were 2-3 before it started and could potentially end up in relegation playoffs or still make the major depending on the outcome. Fantastic warding/spell usage and nerves are the ones to watch out for here. On the other end of the scale if you're looking for a quick game with something ridiculous in it then VP vs NT was absolutely amazing. VP pulled out the position 4 jungle Huskar in game 2 and ended it in 15 minutes! RIP to all your pubs.
This week I've fallen back to old favorites of mine from the Eastern European region, Team Spirit formerly known as Yellow Submarine and their series verses Navi. Not only did this series deliver with an insane hype comeback from Navi in game 2 it also meant the fight for the remaining major slots is alive and well for Team Spirit. If you haven't watched TORONTO TOKYO play before you should go watch this series and check him out.Additionally, Dan Offen has a new show, The DPC Show, summarizing the weeks action in all 6 regions, helped by 6 analysts each focusing on one region. It can be found in video as well as audio format. Editor's note: We are on the brink of having more teams qualifying for the PGL Major based on their performance. More exciting is the return of Chinese Dota from their two week sabbatical. Major slots are quickly filling up, underperforming teams are on the cusp of being relegated to the lower division, and new teams are taking their rightful place in the upper division. Be ready!
