FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 6.2 - Buried Memory, the latest patch for Final Fantasy XIV's recent expansion, Endwalker, is slated to drop near the end of the month.
Amongst the things dropping in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.2 - Buried Memory is the new savage raid tier, Pandaemonium: Abyssos. Unlike other mid-expansion raid tiers, this will launch one week later on August 30th.

In fact, there's some big changes to loot in the upcoming savage raid. Here's what's changing:
Tomestones can be capped Week 1 prior to savage dropping. This means 900 tomes can be collected before entering raid, if you wish.
Crafted gear and primal weapons can be acquired prior to the raid coming out. This brings huge equity to high-end raiders that aren't quite world progression level with plentiful resources. Raiders can focus strictly on progression time in week 1 rather than determining who loses sleep crafting, or wasting hours farming the latest primal instead of learning the new fights.
Split clears (playing with 4 mains and 4 alts) get a pretty significant advantage as they get double the twines, coats, and weapons, meaning an additional i620 weapon, left side, and right side piece per raid group. This probably won't affect world progression much, but will be a huge boon to aspiring week 1 raiders who can utilize the extra DPS and survivability.
You can now purchase head, hands, and feet gear slots with 4 books rather than 6. This now mirrors the cost of accessories.
The second raid tier has historically been the toughest mechanically, but interviews have stated the changes to gearing and preparation were not accounted for in terms of raid tuning.
What are you most excited for in the new patch? Will the raid tier be "too easy?" Time will tell!
