Team Liquid will pick up the first Hearthstone player in their illustrious history tomorrow when they reveal that they will add Jason "Amaz" Chan to their roster. The player, who only joined ROOT Gaming in March this year, will be subject to an undisclosed transfer fee to take him to his new home.

Team Liquid have focused significantly on the development of Hearthstone having created their own community site but they have waited for the right time to add playing talent to their roster. With several other organisations worldwide getting involved in the competitive Hearthstone scene their involvement was inevitable when they found the right fit.

Chan, a Hong Kong resident, has really been grabbing attention as a streamer having hit Legend status using only a "free-to-play" Priest deck that shows his true mastery of the class. His popularity has soared seeing him 91,000 Twitch followers and 63,000 Youtube subscribers. He has also shown his capability on the competitive scene as well with his recent 3rd-4th place finish at DreamHack Bucharest.

The move, which is due to be announced tomorrow, will see Chan represent Liquid at the $25,000 tournament at DreamHack Summer this coming weekend. He has been placed in a group with the winner of DreamHack Bucharest Petar "Gaara" Stevanovic.
