Sumail talks about being in charge of drafting in Team Secret, living with iceiceice, possiblity of winning the DPC WEU Division I Tour 2 and more in the post match winner's interview.
How are you doing Sumail?
I’m good.
Are you drafting for the squad?
It started as a memebut yes I am drafting.
How has the dynamic changed now that you’re drafting?
It’s a shared draft where everybody pitches in but we just tried it in the scrims and we would maybe just stick to it for now.
Have you taken a lot of lessons from Gamer’s Galaxy in Dubai, since we saw some BOOM Esports inspiration in your draft?
For sure they were the team. I don’t know, we came back and played some pubs and just felt nicer than others. I don’t think we copied or tried to do it but it naturally came that way. I just think they were super ahead of the meta.
Your thoughts on being back on the safe lane. Happy with that?
I have been enjoying position 1 more than mid and I think Nisha shares the same feeling. It’s a super good change.
Sumail, how is it like living with Daryl (iceiceice) now? He is a really funny guy.
Yeah. He’s really funny. He's a really funny guy.
Do you think you’ll win the Division?
It’s still too early to say anything. We only played one series and haven’t scrimmed much so can’t really say. But it’s much better than last season.
Do you think there’s a difference in the shift of confidence from Tour 1 and Tour 2?
TI is closing in and it’s getting serious, I guess. It's the better way to put it to be honest and nothing related to confidence.
How much impact do you think Gamer’s Galaxy had after playing with your team on LAN and gelling with them?
It’s definitely way better even if we didn’t do that well. It was good to get everybody together overall and share ideas and other ideas outside of Dota. It was fun.
Are you guys going to bootcamp?
Plan is to bootcamp might happen for the last few series, that’s the plan for now but it might change. Nothing set it stone.
Is there a difference when you guys are all together or do you still feel like communication is better over discord?
Being physically present is a different vibe for sure.
