Six Invitational 2024: Top 5 Highest Rated Teams! Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Esports closes their final act of the 2023-24 competitive season under BLAST.tv's leadership for BLAST R6. A widely successful Stage 1 and Stage 2 plastered headlines. Majors held in Copenhagen and Atlanta drew in a lucrative amount of watch hours. Now, BLAST and Ubisoft have reached a culmination for their 2023-24 season with the 2024 Six Invitational (SI). The event starts on February 13th and lasts until February 25th. Group Stage occurs between February 13-17. About 20 teams collide in a Round Robin Best of 3 format. The top 4 teams in each group then advance to Playoffs. Playoffs are broken down into two parts. Part 1 will be from February 19-21 where 16 teams compete in a Round Robin Best of 3 format, Part 2 will be February 23-25th. This will have 6 teams battle it out live to the public at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. The last bit contains the Grand Final, news on upcoming Year 9 content, and an overview of BLAST R6's 2024-25 season. Furthermore, 20 teams ranging from Asia, Brazil, Europe, Japan, Oceania, Hispanic Latin America, Middle-East North Africa, North America, and South Korea fight to raise the sledgehammer, earn a $3,000,000 pool prize, and be known as the 2023-24 BLAST R6 Esports champions. Now that we know the content of the tournament, let's take a peek at the Top 5 highest-rated teams entering SI 2024. #5 KAWASAKI SCARZ [Japan League]   Opening up, we have a newcomer and the highest-rated Japanese team the KAWASAKI SCARZ. SCARZ, founded on February 21, 2012, is a Japanese esports league that has competed in several different titles. These include; Call of Duty, CS:GO, and DOTA. On June 24, 2018, SCARZ officially joined Rainbow Six Esports. Throughout the entire BLAST R6 2023-24 competitive season, SCARZ earned 515 points. Let's take a deep dive into where all these points came from. Beginning with Regionals in the Japan League, SCARZ won stages 1 and 2. Each Regional Stage awarded them 150 points. A 3-1 victory against Northeption netted the points in Stage 1 on April 2, 2023. Stage 2 saw SCARZ beating Cyclops Gaming 3-0 on October 1, 2023. Moving on to BLAST R6 Majors, SCARZ was awarded 140 points for placing 7th after a 2-1 loss to FaZe Clan on May 5, 2023. This came during the Copenhagen Major in Denmark. Furthermore, the BLAST R6 Atlanta Major gave SCARZ 0 points after failing to advance out of Groups. However, 75 points came SCARZ's way by qualifying. Entering the SI 2024, SCARZ aims to create noise and make their homeland of Japan proud. The In-Game Leader (IGL) for SCARZ, Pyon has recently advocated how his team will rise in their SI 2024 hype video. #4 Susquehanna Soniqs [North American League]             Shifting to our fourth-place spot, we have Susquehanna, the highest-rated North American (NA) team based on points. The Soniqs is a North American esports organization that has been in the Rainbow Six Esports window since March 13, 2019. In their BLAST R6 2023-24 campaign, the Soniqs have accumulated a total of 535 points. Let's examine where the points came from. First, the Susquehanna Soniqs were in North American regional play. A loss to Oxygen Esports by a 2-0 score occurred in Stage 1. Second, Susquehanna rebounded with a 1st place finish, after beating M80 by a score of 2-1 on September 28, 2023. Stage 2 would be marked as a highlight for the Soniqs. Moving into the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), the Soniqs obtained 100 points setting them up for the Copenhagen Major. Thus, the Copenhagen Major allowed the Soniqs to receive more points. Their performance netted 200 points. Susquehanna reached the Semis in the Finals bracket and lost to W7M Esports by a 2-0 score in a Best of 3 contest. Lastly, the Atlanta Major granted 85 total points, 75 for qualifying, and 10 for their placement. Unfortunately for Susquehanna, they were unable to make the Top 8 in a Swiss Style Format and reach the Finals. After another modest campaign in 2023, the Susquehanna Soniqs aim to develop consistency and finish off the competitive season with a fierce showing at SI 2024. #3 G2 Esports [European League] Six Invitational 2024 top rated teams               Hailing at the midway point, we have the legendary force of G2 Esports, the reigning Six Invitational 2023 Champions. G2 Esports was created by former League of Legends player Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez Santiago in November 2011. The club also competes in CS:GO, Dota 2, and Rocket League. On August 10, 2018, G2 Esports was welcomed into the Rainbow Six Esports family. From then to now, the club has captured two Six Invitational wins and a few wins at Majors. Players such as Niclas "Pengu" Mouritzen and Fabian Hällsten helped G2 become one of the greatest Esports teams in R6 Esports history. Transitioning into the present, G2's BLAST R6 2023-24 season has given the EU megastar 580 total points. Firstly, in European League play, G2 qualified for Copenhagen by placing 2nd in Stage 1. A 2-1 loss to Virtus.Pro was suffered on April 7, 2023. However, a total of 130 points were accumulated. Secondly, for Stage 2 of EU League play, G2 hit a roadblock and obtained 0 points as they did not pass the Group Stage in September 2023. Although G2 felt the short end of a stick, a 100-point LCQ came their way. On October 8, 2023, G2 defeated Into The Breach 2-0 in the Finals. This would propel their Atlanta appearance. Lastly, Copenhagen gave G2 about 140 points after a 2-1 loss to Team Liquid in the Quarterfinals this past May. Atlanta's performance from G2 this past November was great enough to net 200 points. G2 was defeated by their rival W7M Esports 2-0 in the Semifinals. Arriving at SI 2024, G2 Esports aims to win a third title in 5 years and go back-to-back. The entry fragger for G2, Jack "Doki" Robertson has recently pitched his squad's case for winning the sledgehammer in their SI 2024 hype video. #2 FaZe Clan [Brazil League] Six Invitational 2024 top rated teams           Landing 2nd on the ranking is Brazil's infamous group known as FaZe Clan. FaZe Clan is an American and Brazilian esports organization founded in 2011. FaZe started by uploading Call of Duty montages to their YouTube channel. Over time, the Clan expanded and signed Team Fontt to assemble their R6 Esports team on January 18, 2018. FaZe has been magnificent in Rainbow Six Esports for the last several years. They have captured Season 8 and 9 Pro League Final wins back in 2018, the Six Sweden Major crown in 2021, and a few appearances at SI, nearly winning in 2022. Thus, the writing is on the wall for FaZe Clan. In the BLAST R6 2023-24 season, they accumulated a whopping 700 points. Beginning with Brazil League play, FaZe was able to reign victorious twice, once in each of the two stages. A 2-0 win against Team Liquid in Stage 1 came on April 2, 2023. Fast forwarding to October, FaZe Clan dethroned W7M Esports 2-1. Combining these two masterful performances, FaZe claimed 300 total points, 150 for each Stage. As a result of winning the Brazil League twice, no LCQs were necessary. Both victories ensured FaZe's path to Copenhagen and Atlanta was smooth sailing. Each Major gave FaZe 200 points. First, the Clan took on Team Liquid in the Copenhagen Semifinals and unfortunately lost by a 2-0 score on May 6, 2023. Second, FaZe arrived in Atlanta and was shocked by LOS and lost 2-0 on November 11, 2023. Appearing at SI 2024, FaZe Clan aims to achieve their destiny of winning their first Six Invitational ever. Jaime Pereira Ramos Junior, known in-game as Cyber, has recently been documented in FaZe Clan's SI 2024 hype video. The man who broke the records for kills in a Major Championship during the 2021 Six Sweden Major, has advocated that "People are afraid to play against us" and FaZe should be feared by other teams. #1 W7M Esports [Brazil League]               Closing our top 5, we have the highest-rated team in BLAST R6 Esports, W7M Esports. W7M Esports formerly known as W7M Gaming, is a Brazilian esports organization owned by the W7M Investments Group. Established on March 15, 2017, W7M joined R6 Esports officially on May 20, 2020. In their young history, W7M has created a ton of buzz. In 2022,  they were the highest-rated R6 team with 1,240 points and made noise at SI 2023. However, their striking efforts would come short as G2 Esports defeated them 3-1 in the Grand Final on February 19, 2023. Transitioning to the BLAST R6 2023-24 season, W7M finishes on top once again with 945 points entering SI 2024. Each of the Brazilian League Stages awarded W7M with a total of 245 points. Third place against LOS was 115 points, and a second-place finish against FaZe gave out 130 points. Lastly, W7M went on to be the first team in R6 Esports history to win back-to-back Majors. Thus, W7M took down Team Liquid 3-0 and won Copenhagen on May 7, 2023. Then, on November 12, 2023, in Atlanta, W7M made history and won their second Major in a row after beating LOS 3-1. The Journey back to SI for W7M has been nothing short of phenomenal. With a win at SI 2024, W7M will further cement its legacy as one of the greatest Rainbow Six Esports teams of all time. Gustavo "HerdZ" Herdina, the entry fragger for W7M has commented on his team's success and how they can complete the perfect run and raise the sledgehammer they were inches away from in 2023.   These were the Top 5 highest ranked teams heading into the Six Invitational of 2024. BLAST and Ubisoft collaborate for their first Six Invitational event since their newly mended partnership just a year ago.
