Super Retires From The Overwatch League

EsportsHeaven 2022-04-01 05:42:03
The frontline for the San Francisco Shock will never be the same. Matthew "super" DeLisi has announced prior to the return of the Overwatch League on May 5th, that he would be retiring from the game. Super is one of the most decorated Overwatch League players, being a two time Overwatch League Champion, World Cup Champion, Stage 2 Champion, May Melee Tournament Champion, Role Star, All-Star and MVP Runner-Up. Past that, the man was on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, not once--but twice! Not only has the Shock lost a pivotal member of their starting lineup, but the Overwatch League has also lost its face. Now it goes without saying that super won’t be going far. With Overwatch 2 Beta on the horizon, and his admitted love for streaming, super will likely be leading the way on Twitch once the beta becomes public.  That said it doesn’t take away any of the pain, but what else did he have to prove? From -bird noises- to defending the world title in San Francisco, super is a prolific player. Don’t be sad, be happy we got to witness super’s brilliance.
