Three teams to look out for at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023

ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is hovering right around the corner with the event slated to begin on December 11, 2023. The twelve team event will boast a prize pool pool of $1,000,000 USD and 19,980 EPT (ESL Pro Tour) points. Teams from across the globe will compete against the best to claim bragging rights for the first premier LAN event post TI12. While all teams are relatively on equal footing in terms of skills, we take a closer look at three teams that have caught our attention.

Three teams that can make a splash at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023

In this article, we won't be looking at teams that have already established themselves in the past season but take a closer look at those who have undergone roster changes and have the potential to either make a splash or just evaporate. Three teams to look out for at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Team Falcons

Now this is an interesting line-up. A mix of TI champions along with one of the most prolific supports and off-laner in the current era, Falcons look poised and eager to prove themselves on the big stage. What better testing grounds than Kuala Lumpur? Post TI12 roster shuffle saw Falcons making a drastic move to overhaul their Dota 2 roster. They brought in the TI winning duo of Skiter and Sneyking from Tundra Esports. They got cr1t, one of the best supports in the game, from Shopify Rebellions and they got ATF and Malr1ne to further solidify their roster. A perfect blend to a perfect recipe. But is this recipe going to yield fruitful results or turn out to be a disaster?

Blacklist International

It has been a while since we've seen a pure Filipino team, with unbridled hunger and compassion, test the muddied Dota 2 waters. Blacklist International is one of them. The line-up consists of the best players from the Philippines with notable names like Abed, Gabbi and Raven alongside Carlo and TIMS. All the above players have proven themselves on the international stage with different teams but now they have all come under one roof. It's time to roar and soar! LABAN PINAS!!

Invictus Gaming

This team has every ingredient to easily conquer the competitive landscape of Dota. All players are tried and tested and have impeccable skills to dethrone any opponent that gets in their way. The Chinese team with three Malaysian players, namely, xNova, NothingToSay and JT- is already a strong contender in itself -- purely based off on the names listed on the roster. To make the team even stronger are two Chinese household names, Monet and BoBoKa -- two of the most skilled players in the East. Can we find a more stacked line-up than this? However, all players are veterans of the game and have the necessary skillset and expertise to catapult the team to new horizons.
