Lee "CDR" Jia
He's journey with Team SMG in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I is off to an excellent start after registering a win against Blacklist Rivalry (BLR).
SMG has made a strong statement after decimating BLR in straight games to start the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2, also known as the Spring Tour, on a solid footing.
In the post-match interview, CDR shed some thoughts on Team SMG's preparations for the second tour of DPC SEA 2023, the Lima Major, the patch update and more.
Having watched the Lima Major and experiencing the new patch update, CDR is visibly unimpressed with the changes.
He said that except for Lina getting nerfed and some item changes, there's nothing much that the current patch offers. Expressing disappointment over the patch, he mentioned what he expects in the future.
"I'm disappointed with the current patch since it has been too long. I expect map changes, the addition of new features or the introduction of new elements into the game, similar to Outposts, Shrines, etc.," said CDR.
Team SMG players are boot camping for the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I at the org's gaming house. The players have been preparing for the Spring Tour, and being together under the same roof has improved their synergy.
"In the previous season [DPC SEA 2023 Tour 1] we were uncomfortable but in season two we are just trying to be ourselves," said CDR.
He also praised Wilson "poloson" Koh, the most recent addition to TEAM SMG and also a fellow Singaporean.
He said, "Poloson is good and we share the same culture. Thus there's no difficulty since we speak the same language and that makes the communication good."
CDR also looks forward to facing Polaris Esports in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I because of Boomy -- the player who got replaced by Poloson.
