Enemy eSports turns down $1.2 Million offer for their League of Legends Team/LCS Spot

Newly qualified NA LCS Organization Enemy eSports has been given an offer of $1.2 Million Dollars for their League of Legends team and LCS Spot.

Enemy eSports has denied this offer. Founder and CEO of Enemy eSports Dan Clerkie had this to say about the offer, posting this tweet to his Twitter :

Although the tweet does not state what the offer was specifically, sources close to the Organization have stated that the amount was $1.2 Million from an undisclosed buyer.

Although we do not know for sure who the offer came from, we do know that newly disbanded Team Fusions owner Veyloris is not the one who made the offer.

Dan Clerkie also had this to say, "If I sold the team, theres no guarantee the new owner will play all of them. Theyve worked very hard to get to LCS, I wouldnt let it be taken away from them,". Judging for this statement, whoever the new owner would have been would have had intentions to replace members of the team if that is one of the reasons for not selling the team.

Questions have been posed asking if purchasing the team, and replacing the roster completely is allowed by Riots rules, and the answer to that is yes, that is allowed. Whenever and LCS team qualifes for the league, the spot belongs to the Organization, not the players. Riot Games has no control on what the Organization does with the spot. If they did decide to sell the spot they could have, and the new owner could replace them with whatever players he wanted to.

At the end of the day though Dan Clerkie has decided to not sell the team, and the team will remain part of Enemy eSports.

That is it for me today. Make sure to come back to EsportsHeaven for all things LCS and League of Legends eSports.
