Faker recently expressed his frustration on the sorry state of the Korean League of Legends ranked matchmaking system prevalent with professional Chinese players inting with super accounts. Sharing Faker’s concerns, T1 elevated the issue to the LCK office, the governing body of Korean League of Legends, and were informed that the matter would be looked into. In response, the LCK had the following to say: “The current state of affairs is that super accounts are given to all pro players who have signed a pledge/contract. This doesn't just apply to Chinese pro players, but pro players of other overseas regions as well, so it is difficult to consider this matter solely from the perspective of the Korean office/region. However, players from the LCK are of course our number one priority.” The above statement is not only vague but also doesn’t fully assure of a probable solution to the problem. Needless to say, Faker was visibly upset by the unprofessional behaviour displayed by Qingtian, top-laner for Top Esports. Faker not only raised questions pertaining to the situation but also conveyed his intention of boycotting playing ranked amid the sorry state of Korean ranked League of Legends game. Not to mention, the said problem has been in existence since 2015. Seven years of unresolved issues isn't particularly healthy for the scene. Don’t you think?
