Overwatch League 2022 – Kickoff Clash: Teams, Format, Schedule

  Ready for Overwatch 2? This is what you need to know about the 2022 Overwatch League season.  Set to debut on May 5th on an early build of Overwatch 2, 20 teams from all across the globe will compete for the right to call themselves the best in the world.  

Format

  The league will remain split, with APAC housing 7 teams and North America with 13 teams. Each team will play a minimum of 24 matches in the regular season. Teams in APAC will play a round-robin, while North American teams are limited to facing their regional opponents twice during the season. The Kickoff Clash will be a strictly regional tournament--meaning no international Hawaii playoffs this time folks.  Teams will get 1 League Point for every regular-season match win. Every team that qualifies for a regional tournament will receive 1 League Point regardless of wins, with 2nd place earning 2 points and 1st place winning 3 points.
