PSG.LGD qualifies for The International 2023 (TI12).
The
Chinese team secures yet another berth at the crown jewel Dota 2 event.
They are the ninth team to qualify for TI12, standing at a total of 1184 DPC points, well above the minimum threshold of 901 points on the back of a solid performance at the Bali Major 2023.
PSG.LGD ended up in the fourth position during the group stage at the Bali Major and had to begin their journey in the playoffs from the lower bracket against the formidable Team Spirit.
On the back of a solid performance from the team as a whole, PSG.LGD outsmarted Team Spirit in the eliminator in a full three-game series.
Losing the first game in the series, the Chinese team quickly gathered their wits and focused on playing to their strengths. The remainder of the series was a walk in the park for NTS and co. as they decimated the TI11 champions with relative ease.
As a result, Team Spirit end up in the 9th-12th place, going home with zero DPC points and prize money. However, they have already ensured their participation at TI12 with 1020 DPC points prior to the Bali Major.

BetBoom's misery, PSG.LGD's fortune to their journey to TI12
Originally,
BetBoom were the ninth team to qualify for TI12 but they received a def-loss due to Pure's violation of the rules, which reversed their win in the upper bracket against Tundra Esports and relegated to the lower bracket.
The incident dropped BB's tally of DPC points back to 760 -- way below the minimum threshold of 901 points to ensure their qualification to The International 2023.
They face Azure Ray in the lower bracket eliminator and a loss here means BB's qualification to TI12 will be in serious trouble as they will require to go through the open qualifiers, provided they fail.
However, a win would ensure their qualification for The International 2023 (TI12) as they would secure at least 300 DPC points, well above the minimum requirements.
