Neo made top 8 last year despite a plethora of drawbacks.  Not only was he running a booth and had a commentary schedule, he also was attending law school, so was incapable of practicing much.

Neo had an unfortunate run-in last year. When asked about losing his bag, he stated “money comes and goes, but no one can take away your accomplishments.” Nothing could shake the feeling of immense joy he had when handing his medal to his mother, the most important person in his life.
