Although late to the party, G2 Esports (formerly Gamers 2) has finally solidified their roster heading into the next season.

Participating in the European Challenger Series several times, Gamers 2 has never been able to qualify for LCS up until this point. With their first team, G2 has been careful in selecting their squad in the league in recent months. Joining the new LCS entrants includes two Korean players, Kim "Trick" Gang-yun and Kim "Emperor" Jin-hyun pending approval from Riot.

Both veteran Koreans hail from the CJ Entus organization, Trick as a substitute jungler and Emperor as starting AD Carry for CJ Entus Blaze.

Gamers 2 has also announced that former Copenhagen Wolves professional player Joey "YoungBuck" Steltenpool will be joining the team as Head Coach. Upon joining, YoungBuck gave the organization this quote:

“I’m very excited to be a part of G2 this season! With my experience I hope to bring a lot to the table in their rookie split, and I see immense potential in what the line-up is capable of achieving.”
