Gaimin Gladiators are the first grand finalists at the Lima Major 2023 in an incredible show of strength against Team Liquid. As such, Gaimin Gladiators send Team Liquid to the lower bracket finals for another chance at redemption. Team Liquid will face Talon Esports in the lower bracket finals at the Lima Major 2023. The winner between Talon and Liquid will face Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals.

Easy victory for Gaimin Gladiators against Boxi-less Team Liquid

Team Liquid's dominant run at the Lima Major 2023 came to an abrupt halt with Boxi's unexpected departure mid-way into the tournament Citing a medical emergency, Boxi flew home, with Team Liquid's analyst, Jabbz filling in for the former. This sudden change put Team Liquid in a tight spot but they had to continue, for it's the first Major of DPC 2023. William "Blitz" Lee said, "We thank Valve for the understanding and jabbz for stepping in. It isn’t an easy situation for him to standin last minute so I hope people send him positivity as well. We will still try our absolute best to win this tournament for Boxi. Ty no further comments." He also gave a shout-out to Alex Cuccovillo, Gaimin Gladiators co-founder for helping them. Blitz added, "Also before I forget thank you to @GGFatalUno for his help, even though Gladiators are our direct opponent he spent the entire night trying to help us. That to me is the sort of person I aspire to be."  

Lima Major: A formidable foe in Talon Esports

  Team Liquid will face Talon Esports, the lone Southeast Asian team, in the lower bracket finals. Shining bright like a beacon, Talon Esports has single-handedly kept alive SEA's dream of lifting the first Major trophy in DPC 2023. Talon has defeated HellRaisers, Team Spirit, Entity Gaming and Shopify Rebellions to reach the lower bracket finals, in an incredible lower bracket run. Giant slayers indeed! Can they take advantage of a weakened Team Liquid and defeat Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals? Stay tuned!
