Talon Esports are still in the Lima Major after yet another incredible upset! The Southeast Asian team who had very little expectations coming into Perú is turning out to be one of the most exciting dark-horses.  

Entity vs Talon Esports

The lower-bracket quarterfinals gave a new life to Entity, the Western European team who had a really convincing run in the challenge that was Group B. Their opponent was, on paper, a much better than most alternatives at this phase of the tournament. As we pointed out yesterday in our article regarding their series vs Team Spirit, Talon Esports were not a team to be feared heading into the Lima Major. Well, they're now proving their doubters wrong. A 2-0 over Hellraisers, a 2-1 over Team Spirit and now a clean sweep against Entity. How much further can this team go?  

Evil Geniuses' dream comes to an end

  On the other side of the lower bracket, the South American dream at the Lima Major came to a halt. Evil Geniuses lost a close 1-2 series against Shopify Rebellion. With Arteezy at the helm, the North American squad prevailed and are now the only thing standing between Talon Esports and their first top three finish in a Tier 1 tournament.  

Talon Esports' final obstacles

  All these dreams will come to an end tomorrow. Whether they go fulfilled or unfulfilled, is up to those who're playing  in front of the ecstatic Peruvian crowd. Talon Esports' road isn't about to get any easier, but nothing great comes without great effort. Shopify Rebellion are a more experienced and stronger team on paper than Talon, but that could've been said for most of the opponents they've left behind so far. If they manage to surpass this obstacle, they'll be staring high up into a juggernaut right after. Gaiming Gladiators had a shocking 2-0 sweep over the favourites in Team Liquid, and they're likely ready to crush whoever heads into the server with them tomorrow.
